This course provides an overview of Buddhist literature from its beginning in India and introduces representative works of Buddhist literature in Korea.
The course divides Buddhist literature into core themes based on period, genre, and subject matter, and asks students to share their literary experiences through an appreciation of these works.
This course broadens understanding of Korean Buddhist culture through appreciation of artwork and provides opportunities for human exploration.
