    This class offers a deep understanding of various types of Korean Buddhist art, from painting to sculpture and architecture.

    By taking this course, students will obtain a deep understanding of Korean Buddhist art, and will be able to place Korean Buddhist artworks in the larger landscape of the Asian Buddhist culture and practice.

    Students will not only learn about the Korean Buddhist artworks, but also explore their relationship with the politics, patrons, and Buddhist teaching and ritual.
